The Overflow

Traveling While Black

The branding for Traveling While Black, a web app I designed, reflects its mission of empowering Black travelers with the tools and resources to navigate the world safely and confidently. The visual identity combines bold, welcoming colors with dynamic typography to evoke a sense of movement and exploration. View the full project here.

myMTA

The new branding for the myMTA mobile app redesign I did embraces a dark, grungy aesthetic while maintaining a clean and modern edge. Inspired by the raw energy of New York City, the design features bold typography, textured elements, and moody tones that mirror the grit and movement of urban life. Despite its edgy vibe, the branding is highly functional, with clear visuals and intuitive layouts that make navigation effortless. This fresh identity reimagines the MTA experience, blending the city’s character with modern design to create an app that feels authentically New York. View the redesign here.

Scope

Scope, a mobile app designed to help members of the LGBTQ+ community find inclusive healthcare, is redefining the experience with bold, modern branding that resonates with inclusivity, accessibility, and individuality. Centered around the idea of "making healthcare less scary," the visual identity embraces a vibrant color palette, playful typography, to create a welcoming and approachable feel. The branding reflects the app’s mission to provide members of the LGBTQ+ community with a tool that feels personal, empowering, and distinctly theirs. By blending contemporary design with a touch of whimsy, Scope turns the often-sterile healthcare narrative into something exciting and relatable—an experience that puts care back in the hands of those who need it most.

This isn't just about finding healthcare; it’s about creating a space where everyone feels celebrated and seen. Stay tuned for the full project.

Evermore

Evermore is a letterpress project that brings craftsmanship and artistry to life. Created for a wine festival, the poster features a stunning handpainted watercolor background, adding depth and vibrancy to the design. Each piece was meticulously hand-printed, combining the tactile elegance of letterpress with the organic beauty of watercolor. The result is a unique, textured artwork that captures the spirit of celebration and creativity.

Prior

The branding for Prior is all about bold efficiency. With a vibrant color palette and clean, modern typography, it delivers a striking yet minimal aesthetic that feels fresh and energizing. Every design element is crafted to be sleek and approachable, reflecting the app’s focus on simplifying task management while keeping productivity visually engaging. Prior’s branding is as dynamic as the users it serves—bright, modern, and purposefully designed to inspire action. Stay tuned for the final project.
